The Glenfiddich 29-year-old, Grand Yozakura, a limited edition release, commemorates the enchanting experience of ‘cherry blossom viewing at night,’ capturing the ephemeral beauty of blossoms under the moonlight.
Breaking new ground as the first Scottish single malt to embark on this venture, the whisky is finished in casks formerly home to Japanese Awamori, an aged rice spirit indigenous to Okinawa.
With a nose that emanates vibrant herbal scents accompanied by lively and ripe fruits, caramelized almonds, and cinnamon, the palate unfolds with layers of toasted oak, velvety vanilla toffee-coated green apples, and smooth tannins, culminating in an earthy and lingering finish.
